It’s canon. Every player gets one when they get high enough on their echeladder. The necklace allows them to summon their sprite anywhere. It’s customary to give the pendant back to the sprite when the player doesn’t need them anymore which is why Davesprite has his.
How come Vriska seemingly knows everything that is about to happen in the comic? Examples like Dirk's arrival matching with the bad guys, that Gamzee still has plot to do and that John was about to arrive with Roxy. Who gave her this knowledge (since as far as I can tell she's just been on the meteor in the retcon timeline)?
She’s got time travelling capabilities, she’s probably been in the future.

Where did the Beta kids who were sucked into the Juju kids come from? As far as I know, there were only the one's from John's pre-retcon past (who all died in the battle) and the one's he met in the lilly pad? Are they from the future?
The Beta kids haven’t been sucked into the juju yet. The juju trapping is in the future of their timeline.

What is grimdark exactly and how can one become grimdarked?
The Horrorterrors had been giving Rose power in order to forward their own agenda. When Rose saw her Mom was dead she allowed herself to be overcome by the Horrorterrors’ power so that she could get revenge.
Basically, to become grimdark you become a puppet of the Horrorterrors.
Okay, so I know that if a godtier players dies the only permanent ones are a Just or Heroic. But what if, say, a player does a whole bunch of bad things in their life, but at the end they do good and die protecting someone/thing else? Would it be Just because of their life or Heroic because of how they died? Vice versus too, with good life but died for a malevolent cause.
