The kids, the trolls, and the Condesce are trying to complete the session to create a new universe. Spades Slick has unknown intentions and Bec Noir and PM also have unclear motives. Jack English is possessed by Lord English so his motives can’t be benevolent.

The game could’ve successfully worked with two players since you really only need a Time player and a Space player to actually complete the session. Rose states here in her walk through that the game seems to suit two players most naturally, the server and the client.
What determines which player is in charge of the ectobiology in a session? Karkat and John are both different classes and aspects so i'm kinda confused.
