Yep, post-scratch guardian seers do seem to have the ability to get small visions from their pre-scratch lives

I have a request too: can you explain all of the genetic relationships and adoptive relationships between the kids and their guardians and why they are the way they are? For example, how is Jake the genetic father of John and Jade? I can't get it off my mind. I understand if this'll take a while to answer, but thanks in advance!

If you try to teleport something from the past that already has a future trail into the present you create a Ghost Imprint, which is basically a pile of goop containing the genetic makeup of whatever you tried to teleport.
John took Grandpa (Jake’s) and Nanna (Jane’s) ghost imprints and mixed them together and created himself and Jade. Which makes Jake and Jane their genetic parents. He did the same with Bro and Mom’s ghost imprints to make Dave and Rose.
As for adoptive relationships:
- Colonel Sassacre adopts Grandma. After his death at the hands of baby Grandpa his wife, Betty Crocker adopt both of them.
- It’s not 100% certain if Grandpa adopted Mom Lalonde, but she definitely grew up in one of his Skaianet facilities and is mentioned in Hiveswap as Joey and Jude’s babysitter.
- Nanna’s son, Dad Egbert adopts John after he destroys Nanna and her joke shop.
- Mom Lalonde adopts Rose and Grandpa adopts Jade likely due to their relationship with Skaianet.
- Bro adopts Dave because he fell to earth on a horse riding a meteor and that was just too badass for him to pass up.
- Bro Stride is an enigna, we don’t know who raised him (*coughcoughlilcalcough*)
- Like before Colonel Sassacre and Betty Crocker adopt Poppop and Grandma.
- Poppop’s son, Dad Crocker adopts Jane
- Grandma adopts Jake
- Alpha Bro and Mom didn’t really adopt Dirk and Roxy per se, but they did get everything ready for the two. How they knew to do that is another story though
- We don’t know anything about Alpha Bro and Alpha Mom’s upbringing.
was Dave having depression a fan theory or actually said in homestuck?

Davepeta said they were depressed when they were Davesprite on two occasions, so at the very least Davesprite has canon depression. But no, Dave Strider, the alpha timeline Dave, does not canonically have depression (although lets face it, he probably does)

It was a Problem Sleuth game not a Midnight Crew comic and it could have been the Warhammer of Zillihoo since that debuted in Problem Sleuth and items can have more than one cost, but I suppose we’ll never know for sure
