Nope, grimdarkness is not the only thing that can cause inversion. Jade and (Vriska) both act inverse without going grimdark

Yes, we never really saw them. We do see some statues of them on Terezi’s planet as well as Tavros’s and Vriska’s

Where did the adults stay when they had to move off alternian? Do they/did they stay on ships or another planet? I always assumed they lived on a different planet that was nearby
