so, the troll ancestors are the pre-scratch versions of the alpha trolls/dancestors, right? is there a reason why they look more similar to the beta trolls than to their alternate versions?

The ancestors are post-scratch versions of the Alpha trolls. And they do look similar so I’m not quite sure what you’re talking about. And differences in appearance can be attributed to life choices or the fact the the ancestors are adults while the Alpha trolls are like 19/20

But they aren’t biologically related so either way it doesn’t matter

but rose was also a sprite when she and jaspers fused. i wouldnt say jaspers maintained personality while rose didn't. i think its more like rose just letting go of inhibitions due to her new cat half

Why did Jasprose retain some of Jaspers personality when other human/animal sprites (Davesprite, GCATavros, Jadesrite) seemed to entirely overwrite the animal with the human, leaving only things like barks

Because Jasprose is a sprite^2 and Jaspers was already a sprite when they were prototpyed

How come Karkat is supposed to lead the new race of trolls? I thought the troll's game going to shit and the creation of Bec Noir was all Karkat's fault, wasn't the point that he was always a crap leader?

Karkat was a decent leader he managed to unify the trolls after all. The troll session was actually fairly normal, it didn’t go to shit at all. The creation of Bec Noir can be pinned on Gamzee and Vriska (go figure).

Because Grandpa Harley adopted Mom Lalonde and Nanna is Grandpa’s adoptive sister and the children of siblings are cousins.
