Has anyone died a Heroic death?

Anonymous

Jake, Dave and Rose did in GAME OVER and Post-Retcon Roxy did when she saved Rose.  Possibly Post-retcon John as well but no judgement was ever shown.

Hiveswap reminded me how little I understand about the beta parents. Was Pa a comedian like his father for awhile? Did he do anything during the beta gameplay?

He was not a comedian, Poppop was but Grandpa wasn’t. Grandpa was an Adventurer and Big Business Man. During the Beta’s game he brought Mom and Dad to the Battlefield and retrieved Jade’s dead dreamself.

Can you explain dirks splinters?? Like I never quite got what he was referring to, if possible please explain in detail

Dirk’s main self and dreamself can both be awake at the same time.

Lil Hal is a copy of Dirk’s mental self at age 13

Brobot and to a lesser extent, Lil Seb are robot versions of Dirk.

Brain Ghost Dirk is a version of Dirk conjured by Jake’s Hope powers.

So that’s 5 or 6 different individuals, all with a little piece of Dirk that can all be doing stuff at the same time. No other living person (aside from temporarily Time players) have that many versions of themselves running at once.

How are Nanna and grandpa (beta Jane and jake) way older than bro or mom lalonde? (This also goes for alpha Jade/john)

Because they landed in the 1910s while Bro and Mom landed in the 60s/70s-ish

So how does death for God Tiers work? I remember reading early on that, according to Karkat, someone thats god tiered can only die a heroic death, yet we have tons of Just deaths?? And a bunch of deaths that were cancelled (like with john when he and grim!rose were fighting jack). The subject just confuses me, since there's so many conflicting points.

A God Tiered Player can only die a Heroic or Just death. Heroic meaning that they died while protecting someone/something or while doing something generally heroic.  A Just death is when a player dies while they are corrupted or working against the goal of Sburb.

Could you explain Lil' Cal's timeline to me? I can't wrap my head around it.

Here’s a post that I wrote on it in the past.

And here’s graphic someone made explaining it

If you’re still confused feel free to ask again :3

During [S] Act 7, near the beginning, when WV and PM are standing at the volcano, a peace of flute music is played. I know it has been played multiple times throughout the comic, and is a early piece of hs music, but I can't figure out what it is from originally. Do you know?

This one took some looking into, but I managed to place its origin in Even in Death which was used in [S] Roxy: Sleepwalk, a slightly different mix of it was also used in [S] Act 6 Act 4

early on in jake's introduction, when we learn that he has (had?) the puzzle fetch modus, it says that he has a mysterious really huge item in his sylladex taking up a lot of space. was it ever revealed what that was?

Ok so near the start of the series just after john prototypes the harlequin doll, he gives it a high five. ("Couldn't leave him hanging any longer") should this not have secondary prototyped himself with the doll like how Dave prototyped himself with the crowsprite?

There a couple theories as to why such as sprites may not be able to be prototyped with their player if they’re not dead/dying/doomed (Aradia and Jade were both dead before hand and the Dave that was prototyped was from an alt timeline so he was doomed)

Or that sprites just can’t be second tier prototyped with anything that isn’t dead/dying/or doomed. The only time we see a sprite being second tier prototyped with a non-dead/dying/doomed entity was with Rose’s sprite but that may be an exception since it was still had its kernel at the time.

Sometimes I randomly have thoughts that come from absolutely fucking nowhere, and one of them was "ancestral awakening" and I thought "hey that sounds like a Homestuck thing that I forgot about" so like. IS it a thing in HS that I forgot about?
