hi, not sure if its even relevant for me to point this out, but I think the unexplained pact was caused by time shenanigans since karkat was talking to past eridan in the memo. then right before eridan does a swan dive into crazy town and starts hoping people to death he mentions the pact to karkat. if its not significant feel free to ignore this.

As I recall, he actually stole it from Jack's cubicle of vigilance! So if Jade isn't just assuming that Grandpa made it, then his are only modeled after the one he took from Derse.
