How are you able to find the exact things people are talking about so easily?
Anonymous
Mspa search feature is very handy and for stuff I can’t find with that I usually have a pretty good idea of where in the story it took place to use as a starting point
but I guarantee you it is not all easy. Some posts I have to spend 15, 30 minutes finding the answers to, hell I’ve spent a good hour and a half looking for answers before. Typically the longer I spend looking for an answer the less notes that post gets lmao
okay so, actual question this time. how much of the post credit snapchats do you consider canon? (im sorry if you have this answered somewhere im on mobile and it keeps fucking me over)
I consider any part of Homestuck not done by Hussie to be semi-canon.
Guest artists are going to have their own biases and preferences reflected by their art which I feel is a product of but also goes against Homestuck’s ideology that all the characters are essentially blank slates that the readers can interpret in any way they like.
Instances of Guest Artists using personal interpretations of characters (in these cases Karkat) can be seen in Collide and Game Over. In Collide when we see Karkat dual-wield sickles, but that’s the only time we ever see him dual-wield. Or in Game Over how Karkat is animated having short sleeves when we have always seen his outfit having long sleeves.
Like Steven Universe, Homestuck allows its art team a full range of creative control with how they draw characters, and there’s nothing wrong with that, it just lets certain content get into the comic that wasn’t laid out by the Huss-man himself.
So to answer your question on how much of the credits/snapchat content I view
as canon; All of it, in varying degrees.
What if the can is just baby food and/or a wiggler is its logo?
Anonymous
Entirely possible, I suppose we’ll have to wait fourteen days to find out
No! Baby trolls are more specifically referred to as Wigglers. There are other grub species that are used for food and games and such
Well they have an open can of canned wigglers in their kitchen in the Hiveswap trailer. I would definitely see that as them being cannibals.
Can you give us a forgotten Karkat fact?
Anonymous
Karkat has been called a Fuckass twice (once by John and Jade respectively). That’s half of all fuckasses in the comic if you weren’t aware.
So, it's canon that Karkat is the youngest troll in his session, right? (Assuming that also makes Kankri youngest), is it ever stated who the oldest is, or would it be logical to assume their meteors arrived in order, making the Leijons oldest?
Anonymous
We have no idea if Karkat is the youngest. We can guess that based off it being his “birthday” when they played the game since that was the case with John. We don’t know the “birthdays” of any troll except Karkat. Terezi and Aradia at least are older than him because they were also 6 while playing the game
