Or one may be subject to corruption, and slain by a hero. This would be just. ”

I mean, maybe its just me, but I don’t really see coaxing a cat out of a tree to be a heroic action, more of just a nice thing to do. It’s Subjective.

There’s that. The mystery of where Liv Tyler’s weapons came from, we saw Jake get them out of the Lotus Pod but we didn’t see who put them in there. And as such the timeline of the Zillywho is incomplete.
The Zilly weapons were also kinda built up to be kinda super important and then most of them didn’t even get used once (the hammer, pistols and katana I think being the only ones). But that’s not so much a mystery as it is a dropped plot thread.

John didn’t even have a chance to move before Jack killed him so the death was neither Heroic nor Just.

I believe that they all died or are stuck in some type of pocket-dimension or whatever inside the Black Hole, but there are definitely other theories out there.

There are teleporters to Derse and Prospit within the Frog Temple, and since he was living on the island that hosted the Temple he could do to and from the medium as he pleased. So anyone could do it with access to the Temple.
