in one of the animations we see kurloz, gamzee, and meulin scheming. was there a reason for that? I don't think anything came of that

Nope, the kids killed Condy in Collide so she never even entered the new Universe. The Cali-dad just destroyed a planet that had some trolls on it, it wasn’t apart of a new troll empire

The Dersites(Black) and Prospitans(White) were in a war. The Dersites wanted to destroy Skaia and the Battlefield so that the players couldn’t create a new universe while the Prospitans were trying to defend it.
The Black King will always triumph over the White King. The players have to stop him before he accomplishes his goal or else they can’t win.
They also help to spread the lore of their players and look after dreamselves until they awake

The Condesce was going to have the kids make the new Universe so that she could restart the troll empire in it
Aranea was going to stop the kids from making a new Universe so that Lord English wouldn’t come into existence.
