I remember an ask awhile back that asked when the first time two characters talked verbally to each other and I think you said it was John when he ascended to godtier, but why wouldn't it be around page 004187 when Aradia gets her robo body and is talking to Equius? Or is it because it's technically a spritelog?

If you want to count spritelogs then the first verbal encounter would be John with Nannasprite, but not counting spritelogs the first verbal encounter is [S] Past Karkat: Wake Up

No, a paradox is when something happening keeps it from happening, like if you go back in time and kill your parents before they can have you, I thought?

There are more than one kind of Paradox.

The kind I’m talking about is a Loop Paradox, where two points cause each other like John making the kids, but in order for John to have been able to make the kids he had to make himself also as well.

The kind you’re talking about is an Unstable Temporal Paradox where something changes something which would stop the first thing from coming back and changing it. This is what happened with Davesprite and why all characters from doomed timelines are doomed themselves.
