I’ve gotten a few asks refering to Kurloz and the rest of the dancestors as the “Alpha Trolls”. Now, they aren’t really the Alpha trolls. Let me explain you a thing.
Karkat and his group of trolls are technically the Alpha trolls since they survive into the alpha timeline, but they are called the Beta trolls because they interact with the Beta kids. Got it?
The Beta kids are called the Beta kids because they played the Sburb Beta. The Alpha kids are called the Alpha kids because they played/ are playing the Sburb Alpha. Just check the poster in John/Jane’s room.
To avoid confusion, instead of using beta and alpha use pre-scratch and post-scratch.
- Pre-scratch kids: John, Rose, Dave, Jade
- Pre-scratch trolls: Kankri, Meenah, Aranea, etc..
- Post-scratch kids: Dirk, Roxy, Jake, Jane
- Post-scratch trolls: Karkat, Equius, Terezi, etc…

the paradox with Bec's creation is that after a bec-prototyped Jack Noir got the trolls trapped on the meteor, Vriska mind controlled the dersite agents into taking the MEOW book to the ectobiology labs and making Bec with it (pages 004860-004964). She also was partly the cause of Bec getting prototyped (004875) which is also paradoxical and involves Bec.

Actually, Doc Scratch involving himself with his own creation does not create a paradox, it is merely a sustained time loop. It's not a paradox until the time travel itself becomes impossible. If Doc creates his own origin, he cans still travel, if he destroys his origin, then we have a paradox.

nonon the way paradox clones work with the ectobiology shit is that basically jane is both jake's grandaughter and grandmother because homestuck. but that does mean that psifreezo is right in that SOME of the wectothigns have no parents. But Becquaral and Doc Scratch don't have paradoxical origins.

Jane and Nanna were the same baby.
The baby was sent to two different points in time in two different universes.
One grew into Nanna and was cloned to create the baby in the first place.
The other grew into Jane.
Doc Scratch does have paradox origins.
Sn8wman ectobiologically made Doc Scratch
and without Doc Scratch Sn8wman wouldn’t have known how to do that, therefore creating a paradox

Jake and Jane are not the same people as Nanna and Grandpa Harley. They’re alternate universe versions. John, Jade, Nanna, and Granpa harley were all made from the same paradox slime imprints that were taken from Nanna and Grandpa Harley.
Not the same person, yes.
But Jane and Nanna have the same dna as eachother
so do Jake and Grandpa Harley.
They may not have the same personality, but they have the same genetics and that’s what I was talking about.
