I doubt it.  Their dancestors share those specific traits.  If you haven’t noticed, post-scratch troll society was kinda fucked up. Aradia was a ghost, Terezi was blind, Tavros couldn’t walk, Vriska lost an arm and an eye, Sollux went blind. Those weren’t caused by ectobiology. The trolls were just in-general fucked uo

It’s alright, another tumblr user shared that it was at the beginning of A6I3.  I remember that Meenah did call her group the Alpha trolls at one point.

I’m not sure what you want me to explain exactly. So as an over view of her character:  She was supreme ruler of the trolls, then they p. much went extinct, she was enslaved by Lord English, and now she simultaneously works for and against him. She took over Post-Scratch Earth and became the Queen of Derse in that universe.  She is also working on rebreeding trolls into existence.

Actually no. 

The Beta Trolls are the post-scratch trolls.

They are called the Beta Trolls because they interacted with the Beta Kids.

The Beta kids are called the beta kids because they played the Sburb Beta

The Alpha kids are called the alpha kids because they played the Sburb Alpha

There was no alpha or beta Sgrub, there was simply Sgrub.

And since the Pre-scratch trolls were dead during the Alpha Kids’ time and could not interact

There really aren’t any Alpha Trolls

Unless you count the ones in the Alpha timeline which would be Karkat, Terezi, Gamzee, Kanaya, Aradia, and Sollux, but that would make them both Alpha and Beta trolls

So in my opinion, I suggest everyone abandon the terms alpha and beta altogether unless talking about the Alpha timeline and simply use pre or post scratch to direct attention to whichever group they are speaking about.  It is simply the least confusing way.
