Yes he is, but a fairy god troll is not the same thing as a patron troll as explain by Hussie in Recap 3

“As she prepares to alchemize new items, she is contacted by her ‘fairy god troll’, a distinction which does not necessarily have anything to do with being a kid’s patron troll. “

Okay, I just wanted to clarify that there is a patron troll and a fairy god troll. (Hussie never stops trying to confuse us…)

It is especially confusing since the only other fairy god troll mentioned is Rose’s which is Kanaya who is also her Patron Troll.

Basically

For the kids in story a Patron troll is just a troll that helped that specific kid a lot through their session.
