Do we know for a fact that the Caliborn who is a self proclaimed "professional man-gaka" is the SAME Caliborn who is a part of LE? Because it really doesn't seem like it.

We do not, and I am actually a fan of the theory that we’ve been following a doomed Caliborn.

didn't doc scratch say "when the heir of breath dies for good, it won't be as a scoundrel"? implying that john will die, hence the when.

Well of course John will die at some point, not even immortals can live forever. I don’t see it happening in story though.
