when one of the mods said "robo-jacks eyes suddenly being real was a cop out" i feel like that was just robo jack pretending to have a robo eye, at least, thats what i got from it.

In my opinion, I don’t think anyone can create “another homestuck”, it is such a unique piece formed from the time and culture it was created in that I feel that it’d be impossible to replicate the feel it gave its readers in another piece of work.
