Trolls hatch from eggs laid by the Mother Grub. Adult trolls fill filial buckets with their reproductive fluids and the Imperial Drones bring these fluids to the Mother Grub. She combines the fluids all into one incestuous slurry and lays thousands of eggs at once. They hatch and appear as small caterpillars with heads but later pupate into a humanoid.

Actually, no, he couldn't. Gamzee had "Plot" armour, so he wouldn't have lost against equius.

Kankri actually didn't have a lusus though, right? I thought he had been raised by some highblood because his blood color indicated he needed to be "coddled" or something

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that. No lusus would chose a mutant to rear unless they were genetically modified like crabdad was. Kankri was most likely raised by a highblood since he was a lowblood and that’s what being “culled” meant in Beforan society.
If Nepeta was killed first, would it be possible for Equius to win in a fight against and/or kill Gamzee if he didn't hold back?
