would any ring bring people back to life, or would it have to be specifically from a session with no prototyping. (or am I competent wrong on both assumptions lol)

Only the Ring of Life can bring people back to life and The Ring of Life isn’t from the Alpha kids’ session, it originated with Hussie.

That was one of John’s last conversations he had with Karkat. John had talked to him several times before so he probably picked it up along the way.

They presumably have some means of education called “SCHOOLFED”. The word is used a few times throughout Act 5 in reference to learning.
