Why is Dave's Sprite orange and Dirk's red? Aren't all the sprites supposed to match up with their respective eye color/blood color?

No. The kids’ sprites match up with their dancestor. Nannasprite is the same color as Jane’s text. Jaspers is the same as roxy’s, Jadesprite is the same as Jake, so on and so forth
I remember a post going around saying highbloods valued paler skin and the reason Nepeta's trolltag was aesenicCatnip was because Equius was using arsenic to lighten her skin. Is any of this true? It sounds like a far fetched headcanon to me.

I mean each class/aspect combo can be really powerful in their own right. In terms of raw power I think Jake or Jade are arguably the most powerful godtier titles. Maybe a Page of Space or Lord of Hope?
Has Karkat ever been mind controlled by Vriska, or scared by Gamzee's chucklevoodoos, or basically been affected by any troll based psychic ability that would mess with his mind?
