Yes, but the Alpha kids are also not a part of a "normal" session, and my statement was that a "normal" session would absolutely have a tumor, though I admit that I think the anon who I am trying to refute is a little confused. The TUMOR in the kid's session is a game element present in all games. Karkat talks about giving their universe cancer by fucking up, which is a metaphor for the sequence of events leading to Bec Noir's creation, I think.

What exactly is grimdarkness and how does it work?

They are also the LIKELY creators of the troll universe, aka the 48 squiddle (trickster!horrorterror) session, and/or Gods from failed sessions banned to the void to scream in madness. GOD I LOVE THE HT's.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they mention that Jack is ALWAYS in sessions, as an usurper, and that the Tumor is also always there, as a sort of emergency option

The Alpha kids don’t have a tumor since it’s located at the center of a fully prototyped Skaia.

what are the horrorterrors? i never quite understood
Anonymous
They’re big giant squid monster thingies that live in outerspace. Lord English is there enemy. They can assist Derse players. But mostly, their role is to just be scary as shit.
Also Gl'bgolyb is a horrorterror albeit the smallest one.

Uhm, actually, pertaining to the earlier ask about a normal session? It would be more like the dancestor's session. (which they only failed at because they were bad players.) Jack wouldn't be there, and if he was, he wouldn't actually be a part of the plot like he was in the post-scratch troll's session or in the Beta kid's session! :) Also, in Karkat's session, the created universe wouldn't have a Tumor.

if i remember correctly, the goal of the game is for the players to ascend to god tier and live on as omnipotent beings in the universe they create. whether or not they accomplish this is based on certain other factors, like the idea of killing yourself to gain power or how well everyone cooperates with one another when playing the game

Was it ever said where the dead Sollux used in Erisolsprite came from?

When you say 'leading them to the new universe' and 'to reign as gods' Do you mean that it just spits them out in the middle of space with omnipotent abilities? Or do they arrive on the planet the species is to originate on?
Anonymous
I’m not sure since it hasn’t happened.
I know that the door goes to the universe, where specifically, I dunno.
The players wouldn’t be omnipotent but there would be more than likely be at least one godtier amongst them who are p. much immortal and have advanced abilities.
Also in Karkat’s first pesterlog with John, he ranted about he was John’s god and etc.

is jane actually fat/chubby or was Caliborn just trying to mess with her?
Anonymous
Well considering Caliborn is a skeleton monster, I think most people are chubby in comparison. Jane’s probably average chubbiness, but keep whatever headcannon you like.
