Did trolls always reproduce using a mother grub? Do we know if there are any other ways that trolls can reproduce? I know it's just a webcomic but it didn't seem to me like a likely way to evolve...

The Mother Grub is the only way for trolls to reproduce. They can’t carry hatch less young like humans can because they’re an insect-like race.

Doc Scratch mentions here that he was the corrupting influence that caused the post scratch troll race to be in constant war and violence. He also used the Handmaid to stir up class warfare and cause violence in whatever era she haunted.
I forget, but I seem to recall that when universes are created (like when the Beta kid's world was made) they're made with everything on them that instant? Like they have history but it was created in the instance the universe was, it didn't actually exist before. Is that true, or am I remembering something entirely different?
