Doc Scratch followed his own agenda while fufilling his first guardian role. He groomed Alternia to be ready for Sgrub and considering they beat it I’d say he did a descent job.

We’ve never seen a one-on-one with between him and a kid, just in groups like on the meteor and on the pirate ship. But Jade mentions talking to twelve trolls so he must have talked to her at some point
