If you die as after going grimdark, does your ghost stay grimdark?
No, we see the Grimdark Rose that died wake up in the dreambubbles in [S] Terezi: Remem8er and she is no longer supposed to be grimdark.
Is it only me or do the characters personalities seem different?

During the [S] Terezi: Remember flash it shows that the body that dies becomes a ghost while the dreamself goes godtier instead.
