Why did John die when LOWAS exploded? He was a god tier. How would that death be heroic or just?

It was heroic because he died in order for the Pre-retcon John to be able to fix everything
Hmm, wasnt the new tadpole that came out of the volcano the same one as jade died from shaving cream and it dropped into the volcano?? Dang.

Has anyone else noticed that the volcano, tadpole-frog and planet-hole in the Act 7 animation appear to be a reproduction metaphor? Because I haven't seen anyone else even give it a passing mention. Is this something that was established earlier on and I just never noticed?
Is Jane's version of earth still intact. I'm pretty sure it's in her dad's wallet.

So I understand most of the ending but there's one little thing I think I've missed somewhere. When Vriska pulls out the ultimate weapon it's loaded with the kids, like we saw in Caliborn's Masterpiece, but when exactly did the kids go to fight Caliborn and get sucked into the ultimate weapon? I know it happened, but I'm just not sure when, from the perspective of the kids, that fight went down...
