how did calliope have a dream self if she never officially entered the game?

Anonymous

She needed to have one so that Caliborn could kill her and predominate early.

If she didn’t have a dreamself then Caliborn wouldn’t have been able to do that, then Callie would be able to play the game but in order to play the game you need a dreamself so she’d have a dreamself for Caliborn to kill, etc etc

Basically, Plot Reasons

In regards to that poster talking about Doc Scratch's life/death and doomed timelines, I feel like it should be clarified: Game Over is not a doomed timeline. Everybody dying and the kids failing was LE's plan for the alpha timeline all along, even with Aranea's interference. Death and failure is not exclusive to doomed timelines.

Except it was a doomed timeline because if the kids didn’t succeed in creating Universe C then the Cali twins wouldn’t have been born and LE wouldn’t have been able to exist

I’ll just point out that it WAS doomed, but by the virtue of Aranea stealing the ring.

You cannot contact people in other universes if your timeline is doomed (see the first instance of doomed timelines) and there was definitely contact between Alphas and cherubs in pre-retcon universe.

Cherubs could have become a thing pre-retcon if John stopped at retrieving the ring. They were a thing pre-retcon, Universe C could have been hatched after GO. But John chose to save the team.

You’re right about characters in a doomed timeline not being able to contact others in different universes.
But the timeline didn’t become doomed until Aranea came back and started messing with stuff, between that point and everyone dying nobody contacted or was contacted by the cherubs.

is daves middle name elizabeth?? or was that just a fandom thing?

It’s one of the older pieces of fanon

I just want to know if there's anything in favor of Gamzee, or if he's just an antagonist and nothing more in canon.

raphfish

Much like the trolls on the Alternia of old, I fear to speak in any regards about one so aggressive and high up on the spectrum.

But here’s his wiki page so you can read up on him yourself

You answered an ask about how the ancestors (besides signless) showed their classpect but you didn't include the disciple. I don't wanna be rude I just want to ask if she did at all or not?

Anonymous

Oh oops, I just forgot her.

Disciple- Mage of Heart: Mage’s abilities are highly speculator but for Heart (Soul) she resonated well with the Signless’s soul with them having a relationship that went beyond the quadrants. She also made the Signless’s soul stayed alive after his death by recording his teachings so they would one day be able to be spread again.

Doc Scratch said that the Alpha Timeline was the timeline uniquely containing his birth and death. Since we've already seen both his birth and his death, how is, e.g., the Game Over timeline somehow not contain them? (This logic seems like it should hold for ANY doomed timeline which diverges after we see Doc Scratch's birth and death -- and thus which we know must contain them, right?)

thetransintransgenic

It’s likely similar to how the trolls couldn’t talk to the kids in their doomed timelines. So that if any doomed timelines occur he is no longer able to interact with them and characters in it can not interact with him.

Once we get to the likes of GAME OVER though, retcon abilities start coming into place which ignore predetermines rules of Space and Time so shrug.png

Can you explain in detail why Gamzee went crazy? Like I still don't get it and I don't really believe it was as simple as "he ran out of slime and got mad at ICP"

I’m sorry my sweet precious anon, but I am not touching that with a 1025 foot pole, it’s very subjective and up to reader interpretation.

The anon wondering about Dirk implying to Jane that she was related to Jake; I believe they're thinking of Dirk's explanation of the future to Jake, wherein he explains the Condesce's past and Grandma English and Dirk hints to Jake about connecting his grandma's brother who inherited the company to being Poppop Crocker, but Jake is simply too dense. No biological relation, only adopted. (page 6758)
