Do you have a source for where it says that rust bloods live for only ~50 years? I remember back in 2012 people would say the lived to only like 20, and that bothered me.

is the lifespan of a troll relative to the rank of their blood? I know that Fuschia bloods live for centuries but I don't remember if low bloods have shorter lifespans

We know there are only 12 castes on the hemospectrum, but does that mean there are only 12 different blood colours? Like, could there be different shades of burgundy/bronze/yellow/etc, or does every troll in a given caste have identical blood?

Yes, there can be different shades. The canon fan trolls and some of the Hiveswap trolls have shades a bit different than the main 12.
