John has indeed cried in canon on at least one occasion

oh my god, yes there have been major fights over the kids races. People would argue about that for days pre-gigapause.  It was so bad. People used to defend their headcanons to the death, so bad. Now people don’t care that much and get that headcanons are just headcanons and it’s okay for people to like different things.
Hussie has stayed mostly neutral on the topic except for a few jokes here and there. While the lalonde have indeed been confirmed blonde, I can’t recall any canon proof for Dave.

Rumors have been circulating about a recent edit to an old Hiveswap news post on its website - while the supposed edit appears to have stated that the new release date would be January 2017, it has since been taken down.

Supporting this, there seems to be dubiously serious evidence that the date is legitimate, and claims that an official announcement is coming “soon”. Not that we want anyone to go overboard and re-ignite the furnace of some dusty, rocket-enhanced excitement locomotive, but if this is true, we should have some excitement locomotive-worthy news very soon.

Does anybody remember Namco High? The dating game where you date Namco-Bandai characters in high school that was written by Andrew Hussie?

I remember everybody only ever wanted to date the three Homestuck characters included in the game.

A few tips for new Homestucks!

-There’s a fun easter egg if you get a little too “clever” in naming your character.
-The anti-bravoman romance path features Davesprite dropping some sick rhymes on high school poetry night. Highly recommend.
-Replay at least once for Davesprite sadstuck.
-You need to date the same character twice to get their good ending.
-The main character is gender neutral, and canonly an Heir of Heart.
-*pacman voice* BE YOURSELF.
